Now, roses are not just good for floral arrangement and aromatherapy, they are wonderful for skincare as well. Here are a few points on why roses are the way to go this 2017.
What makes it so good?
Rose extract is naturally astringent, antioxidant and polyphenol rich and soothing, which makes it perfect for all skin types. It is naturally moisturizing and anti-aging. I don't know about you, but it seems to me that when you put all of these qualities together into one word, the word that comes up to best describe a rose is healing.
What are the benefits?
Because of its natural qualities, rose in skincare have a myriad of agreeable benefits which we can reap immediately and with continued use.
- Oil Control
In my experience, I've been using rose infused skincare all year last year and I've found that It balanced my skin and made it more resilient. I used to get so many rashes from skincare products and hard water. Even windburn. But since using these, it's either the problem doesn't occur anymore or if it occurs, it gets healed right up. My skintone is more even with little to no redness from before. Lastly, it's definitely smoother and brighter. I'm definitely going to continue using rose in my everyday skin care.
My favorite rose products are Thayer's Witch Hazel Rose Petal Toner, Smith's Rosebud Salve and Minted Rose and the whole Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses line. These are the most affordable and available where I'm from, not to mention legit in the natural department.
Is anyone else loving rose products lately? What are your staples? I'd love to know!
