Mini Review: Cure Natural Aqua Gel

 Cure Natural Aqua Gel

What it is: A water based exfoliator from Japan

Why It’s Good: Because it basically uses water to exfoliate, this is very gentle. It is full of glycerin too so it doesn’t dry out the skin. Good for sensitive skin that needs gentle yet effective exfoliation.

Where to Get: Beauty Bar, Rustans Essences, SM Beauty

Price: Php 1,500.00

How to Apply: On freshly cleansed, dry skin, 1-2 pumps on your palm then spread very lightly on desired area (face or body). Wait a moment for the product to interact with your skin, then massage in gentle circular motions, concentrating on the areas where dry skin tends to build up such as the T-Zone. The product will pick up the dead skin, which will ball up in little bits. Do this for only one minute, to avoid over-exfoliation, and rinse off.

When to Use: 1-2 times a week, after cleansing and before toning.

The Effect: Fresh, smooth skin is revealed. Products layered after this treatment absorb better and more effectively so you get more benefits from your routine.

Thoughts: First off, I’m sorry that I don’t have any of my ‘dead skin balls’ to show you guys from using this product. For those who are familiar with Cure Natural Aqua Gel, you know exactly what I mean. For those who don’t, this aqua gel lifts up all your dead skin from your skin surface. The dead skin balls up as you massage your skin and then you can literally just rinse the dead skin away. Cool, right? Cure Natural Aqua Gel is Japan’s No.1 Best Selling Exfoliator. One bottle is sold every 12 seconds, reportedly. This is water based, fragrance free, with aloe vera and glycerin. It has no harsh exfoliating beads or powders. The gel magically lifts off dead skin. Amazing. I am left with baby smooth skin every time and my other skincare products sink in better. I believe this has tremendously helped me benefit more from my other skincare products.

Notes: This isn’t recommended for everyday use because you can still over-exfoliate with this even if it’s so gentle. Although, you can use this on other parts of the body such as knees and elbows and heels. I haven’t experienced any dryness, redness or irritation while using this product. Lastly, because of the particular manner this product exfoliates the skin, this is also widely regarded as a skin-peel.

Get it if .....

         ...You need a gentle exfoliator/peel.

…You love Japanese skincare and all its innovations.

         …You have sensitive skin and/or clog-prone skin.

…You care about the environment. This has 100% no microbeads!

Have a great day ahead!
