Derma E has been my go to for mindful, natural products that are safe for my sensitive skin. Their skincare are well formulated and they offer multiple collections for specific needs. I have Combination-oily sensitive skin that is prone to allergies and breakouts when products don't agree with me. So far, I haven't been let down with any of the products I've tried from Derma E. Because of my combination skin, and despite being oily on my t-zone, my skin can get pretty dehydrated and dull. Dry skin is different from dehydrated skin, by the way. Maybe I'll post about it in the future!
This summer was all heat and humidity and my skin was crying out for help. On top of that, it's allergy season with all the blooming flowers all around. My skin was always itchy and rough in the mornings from allergies and would turn rough yet greasy by the afternoon. Annoying and not pretty.
Hyaluronic Acid has been a star ingredient in many skincare products as of late, and naturally I was so pleased to find Derma E offering a whole lineup of products with HA. I grabbed some and I have been using them for the most part of summer. I have yet to try the entire line but here are my first few.
Derma E Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
What it is: A plant based serum with Hyaluronic Acid
Why It’s Good: With soothing aloe vera and infused with Hyaluronic Acid, this serum absorbs fast and hydrates thirsty skin without feeling oily or sticky.
Where to Get: Healthy Options
Price: Php 1,200.00
How to Apply: Spread over the face and neck and pat until absorbed.
When to Use: Mornings and/or evenings after toner and before moisturizer.
The Effect: Comfortably hydrated skin.
Thoughts: Since I wasn’t content with Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel’s hydrating abilities, I decided to look for another hyaluronic acid serum to layer underneath. I love Derma E products and I was already using and loving the eye cream from the same line so I got this one. The texture is more like a gel-cream. It isn’t runny. Like the Derma E Vitamin C products, this smells like candy. However, it smells like synthetic fruit gummy candy to be exact. I was a bit sad because I was hoping it would have little to no scent or at least smell pleasant like the Vitamin C line from the same brand. Maybe others enjoy this type of fragrance? The product itself works well and it easily fit in with the rest of my evening routine. Because of this, I’m willing to overlook the scent and will gladly use this up. My skin doesn't dry out in the course of the day and I think it helps prevent my skin from producing more oil. This doesn't have oil control but it somewhat balances my combination skin.
Notes: The bottle is very lovely. This is a versatile product and layers very well with my other skincare.

Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid
What it is: A plant based gel eye cream with Hyaluronic Acid
Why It’s Good: With soothing aloe vera and infused with Hyaluronic Acid, this eye cream is light yet hydrating. It absorbs quickly and even works very well under makeup.
Where to Get: Healthy Options
Price: Php 1,095.00
How to Apply: Gently pat around your eye contour until absorbed.
When to Use: Mornings and/or evenings.
The Effect: Smooth and soothed under-eyes.
Thoughts: My allergies leave my eyes itchy and watery and my under-eyes were getting red and puffy too. I dread the look of dark circles due to allergies. I didn’t want to develop dark, rough, crepe-y skin in that area so I was getting desperate for a good eye cream that won’t aggravate my allergies yet moisturize the delicate skin there properly. I took a chance on Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream and I am so happy with it! It feels soothing when patted on. Every time my under eyes start to itch because of allergies, this is safe to put on and I can rely on it to remove the itchiness. Maybe it’s because of the aloe vera in it? Anyway, this has other purposes too. It rehydrates my concealer in the middle of the day and makes it look fresh again when patted on top. It also removes the itchiness around my nose (also because of allergies) and soothes that area when it becomes raw from all the sniffles. I’m almost out of it because I use it so much. I will gladly repurchase this!
Notes: The tube is pretty and functional. It has no scent which is another plus! I also noticed this faded my fine lines, which were probably caused by me, aggressively rubbing my eyes because of allergies, anyway. I imagine this would be a great starting product for anti-aging routines.
Get it if .....
...You need a hydrating eye cream.
…You suffer from allergies and need a safe eye cream.
…You have oily and clog-prone skin and need an eye cream that won’t clog pores around your eyes.
…You want to get a head start on your anti-aging regimen.
Well, I hope you found this review informative and/or entertaining. These are great products to try if you're just starting to get into skincare and have just started to curate products or develop a routine. The textures on both of these are pleasant enough to use in our climate here in the PH too.
Have any of you tried these yet? Anybody else out there love Derma E? I'd love to know your thoughts!
Have a great day ahead!
