For June 2017, I coincidentally have a lot of empties. I don't use a lot of products in my routines so you can imagine that my skincare stash has been practically halved. I've been trying out some new products and scouting for suitable new ones these past few days. This happens to be my first ever Empties post on the blog!
I'm happy to produce quite a nice, grotesque photo of some used and abused skincare. I rarely finish up makeup, as a lot of women probably are guilty of, but with skincare, I like to use them up until they're literally shells of their former selves. As you can see I even cut them up to get at the very last bits.
By the way, these are skincare for the face.

Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Water
Last night, I used up the last few drops of this before including it in my empties. I really enjoyed using this! I used this as my cleanser on most mornings and in the evenings when I haven't used any makeup and want to skip a typical cleanser. I didn't treat this as the usual micellar water by just using it as makeup remover or as a first cleanse because I felt bad at wasting all the nice ingredients that could benefit my skin. Good to know it really works at brightening and evening out my skin tone. You can read my full review here.
Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser
This is an HG level cleanser for me! Its purifying but not stripping and can be used both morning and evening. If the Japanese cleanser I'm trying out right now doesn't work for me, I'll most likely repurchase this! Of course I have a review for this beautiful thing. You can read it here.
Nuxe Reve De Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm
A good lip balm is an absolute must for me and this has been one of the best. It's also my most expensive lip balm ever! For that reason, I'm going to put off buying it again and wait for when I truly need it; like if ever I do serious damage to my lips, or when I can get it at a more affordable price or something. It lives up to the hype but the price just doesn't make it practical for me right now since there are a lot of good alternatives at a lower price point. If you're interested, I have a review right here.
Pond's Acne Clear Leave On Clearing Gel
You're probably surprised that this doesn't show up in any of my posts or reviews on the Blog or on Instagram but it's actually been a staple since last year. I would use it intermittently when needed and this is probably my 4th tube! I've relied on this when I'm breaking out fo' realz which hasn't been often lately. Now that this one's finished up, I miss it! It's like a comfort blanket. I like having it on-hand for security, haha! I even have some of the toner from this line left over! I'm going to repurchase this and the matching foam cleanser and dedicate a full review of the line.
This is always part of my stash and always will be. The tube I have came from Belgium when we went last year. Naturally, I have a back up and I also keep various sizes of the tins around our home. I haven't found a cream that works better than this..as a night cream, hand cream, all over body cream. This just works for me. I would like to find a good anti-aging night cream but so far none have agreed with my skin except for this. This one is made in Germany and touted as the dupe for Creme de La Mer but all versions of Nivea Creme agree with my skin. I like the tube of this for exclusive facial use because it's more hygienic.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Although I didn't really like this moisturizer, I used it up quite fast. I could't appreciate this as much because of the strong fragrance and I found the moisture doesn't last a full day. I also had to apply layer upon layer of this at night because yes, it does absorb fast but like I mentioned, the moisture doesn't last long. Come to think of it, it's more likely the fragrance ingredient in this caused my skin to dry out. I'm lucky I didn't suffer from more irritation from this. However, if you have oily skin that isn't sensitive to fragrance, you might enjoy this. My review for it is here.

So there it is! I hope you enjoyed my first ever Empties post! I also hope you didn't find the actual empties gross, haha! At least they look like they're really used up, right? I love reading Empties posts from other bloggers because it really shows which products were actually good enough to finish! Although in my case with the Neutrogena, I gave it a fair chance and used it up in the process. I'm looking for a better moisturizer for the evening now. If you've got recommendations, do let me know in the comments!
As always, have a great day ahead!
